Marc Klok Foundation Collaborates with Dompet Dhuafa to Spread Joy Ahead of Eid al-Fitr

Marc Klok Shares Inspirational Stories and Shops with Orphaned Children

The Marc Klok Foundation, established to empower Indonesian youth through education and sports, has announced a collaborative initiative with Dompet Dhuafa.

Dompet Dhuafa—a renowned Indonesian philanthropic institution dedicated to poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, and disaster relief and serving communities nationwide since its establishment in 1993—co-hosted the "Belanja Bareng Yatim" (or “Shopping with Orphans”) event at Lotte Mart Kuningan City in South Jakarta. The program brought together 70 orphaned children to shop for free Ramadan and Eid essentials, fostering joy and community ahead of the holiday.

Professional footballer and founder of the Marc Klok Foundation, Marc Klok, attended the event, sharing personal stories and motivating participants. The initiative also partnered with BTS Army Indonesia, the local fanbase of global K-pop sensation BTS, to amplify its reach. Klok actively engaged with the children, accompanying them as they joyfully selected festive clothing, food, and daily necessities. The collaboration highlights the power of collective action in uplifting underserved communities and uniting individuals from all walks of life.

“I am deeply grateful to Dompet Dhuafa for this partnership,” said Klok. “Today, we supported these children in preparing for Eid by providing essentials and creating meaningful memories. Moving forward, the Marc Klok Foundation plans to collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa to construct a football field, furthering our commitment to youth sports education. Thank you to everyone involved, and I hope this marks the beginning of many more positive initiatives.”
