On Saturday, January 20th, the finals of the NK FIFA took place. The tournament featured the top 16 players from the Netherlands competing for a spot as the fourth player in eOranje.

Players Tom Dijkhuizen and Giovanni Bakhuizen of PEC Zwolle also qualified for the NK after both achieving top-4 placements in the online qualifiers.

Giovanni Bakhuizen, considered one of the favorites to win, found himself in a tough group. His opponents were Chris de Boer (AZ), Talha Demirel (Feyenoord), and Merijn Eggens (Almere City). Giovanni had a strong start in the group stage, winning all three of his matches. He secured a 6-2 victory against Talha in the first match, followed by a 4-0 win against Chris in the second match, and a 3-2 victory against Merijn with a header in the 90th minute. Talha also advanced to the next round as the second-placed team, eventually being crowned the champion.

Tom Dijkhuizen was placed in Group C with Dani Visser (AZ), Luuk Wijdeveld (Excelsior), and Daan Troost. The favorites in this group were Dani and Luuk. Tom started well in his first match against Luuk, winning convincingly with a 4-0 score. In his second match against Dani Visser, he suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat. In the last match against Daan, a draw was enough for Tom to secure advancement. Tom won the match 2-1, and Luuk won 6-0 against Dani Visser. Tom ultimately topped the group on goal difference. Both PEC players and Status Pro eSports players finished first in their respective groups, advancing to the quarterfinals.

In the quarterfinals, Tom Dijkhuizen faced Bram Goffin (Heerenveen), and Giovanni competed against Leroy Miggels (FC Volendam). Giovanni convincingly won the quarterfinal with a 6-3 score. Tom faced Bram from Heerenveen, who had been in good form in recent weeks. Tom took an early lead, dominating the first 60 minutes and being 3-1 up. However, Bram made a comeback, equalizing to 3-3 in the 90th minute after Tom missed a chance to make it 4-2. The match went to golden goal, and Bram scored the winning goal in the counterattack from Tom's missed chance. Tom, who has been impressing everyone in recent weeks, showcased his skills once again in this tournament.

In the semifinals, Giovanni played against Max Koelemaij (Ajax). Max took a 1-0 lead, and despite Giovanni gaining control and having three significant chances, including hitting the post, Max scored the second goal and ultimately won the match 4-0, eliminating Giovanni.After a challenging start to the season for PEC eSports, both players have been in good form in recent weeks.
