Joey Antonioli (18) is considered one of FC Volendam's biggest talents. He signed his first contract in September 2021 and made his debut for Volendam against Jong PSV at the age of 17. Antonioli is a permanent part of coach Wim Jonk's squad and has linked up with Status Pro Sport.

Technical director Jasper van Leeuwen is very enthusiastic about Joey: "Joey is the next product of our youth academy to take the step to official professional football. Despite the difficult corona year, with hardly any matches for Jong FC Volendam, he has steadily managed to develop into a valued member of the selection. This contract is a tangible reward for that."

Van Leeuwen characterizes the midfielder: "At first glance, Joey is mainly a beautiful and agile technician, with a good dribble. But besides that, he also has great running ability and a willingness to work hard for the team. The next step Joey needs to take to fully exploit his potential is to become more dominant and decisive. In a proverbial sense, he can put his signature on a game much more.
