The inauguration ceremony was enlivened by an exhibition game between Team Marc vs Team Greg involving children from Cipinang Besar Utara. The event was appreciated by Agung Budi Santoso as the Head of Cipinang Besar Utara Village.
"It is an honor for us to receive the assistance provided by Marc Klok and his foundation in the renovation that has been carried out for the RPTRA Cipinang Besar Utara Sports Field. This field can be a place where children start their dreams to become professional footballers. We hope that with this assistance, it can help the children of Cipinang Besar Utara in realizing their dreams in the future," said Agung.
Marc Klok's initiative to renovate the RPTRA Cipinang Besar Utara sports field draws inspiration from the Johan Cruyff Courts in the Netherlands. These mini-pitches were established by the Johan Cruyff Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by the Dutch football legend himself.
Having played in the Netherlands, Marc Klok was deeply impressed by the positive impact Johan Cruyff Courts have on children. He desired to offer similar opportunities for Indonesian children to play football in a safe and nurturing environment.
Moving forward, Marc and the Marc Klok Foundation will continue to contribute to developing and advancing the potential of Indonesian children through football through comprehensive infrastructure development and through education such as school building construction and educational development activities as a real form of contribution to a shining Indonesia in the future.
